Brian Hayes: The Office of Public Works is currently undertaking the necessary repair works to the stretch of embankment concerned. These works have been ongoing for a number of weeks and consist of the underpinning and reconstruction of concrete aprons. The works are expected to be completed later this month. An OPW official recently met with the landowner concerned in relation to the works.

Brian Hayes: All operations, including opening times and staffing levels, are reviewed annually in light of budgetary constraints. As a result, some centres may experience a change in the length of their season. For the past number of years, the Easter holidays have marked the opening of this site.
