Hildegarde Naughton: The options available to apply for or renew a driving licence are booking an appointment at an NDLS centre, applying online if you have a public services card and a verified MyGovID account or by post if you are 70 years of age and over. An Irish driving licence can be renewed up to 10 years after the expiry of the licence.
