Leo Varadkar: The information requested by the Deputy is as follows: €53,024 For the Deputy's information I am advised that the average cost of the provision of a State Car and Garda drivers during the last government was around €280,000 per annum. The new Government has reduced this by around two thirds to in the region of €100,000, on an annualised basis.
