They are packaged and pushed out now...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Social Protection: National Action Plan on the Development of the Islands: Department of Rural and Community Development (13 Oct 2021)

Marc Ó Cathasaigh: My next question might be slightly at odds with my first question, where I pushed the witnesses for a deadline. The context within which this plan has been drawn up has completely changed from when the work was begun. For good and for ill, everybody can clearly see the challenges faced by island communities but the pandemic may have presented opportunities for remote working. Both Deputy...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Social Protection: National Action Plan on the Development of the Islands: Department of Rural and Community Development (13 Oct 2021)

Marc Ó Cathasaigh: Before I bring in Senator Garvey, who is offering as well, I would like to make a minor clarification. I have seen documentation referencing it as a ten-year plan and documentation referencing a plan out to 2030. Are we definitely looking at a ten-year plan? Are we looking at 2032 or are we looking at an eight-year plan?

We hope the committee's deliberations and recommendations are very much taken on board by...

Is cinnte go bhfuil obair na gcapall déanta ag an Aire Stáit, ag a Roinn agus ag Oifig na mBillí chun an mBille seo a thabhairt go dtí an...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Social Protection: National Action Plan on the Development of the Islands: Discussion (6 Oct 2021)

Marc Ó Cathasaigh: I thank the witnesses for their presentations. Ar dtús báire, is mór an trua é nach raibh Máire Uí Mhaoláin go huile ar a compord a cur a láthair a thabhairt trí mheán na Gaolainne. Léiríonn sé sin an meon atá istigh anseo i dTeach Laighin faoi úsáid na Gaolainne. Má táimid dáiríre faoi...
