- Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Bill 2015: Second Stage (Resumed) (2 Nov 2016)
Catherine Connolly: Ós rud é nach bhfuil cainteoirí ó aon ghrúpa eile ag iarraidh labhairt, leanfaidh mé ar aghaidh leis an ngrúpa Independents 4 Change. Is mian liom cur in iúl don Teach go gcuirfear an díospóireacht seo ar atráth ag a 8 a chlog. An bhfuil an Teachta O'Sullivan agus an Teachta Pringle ag roinnt a gcuid ama?

- Prohibition of the Exploration and Extraction of Onshore Petroleum Bill 2016: Second Stage [Private Members] (27 Oct 2016)
Catherine Connolly: I never thought that I would reach the stage where my inspiration and renewed faith in the political process would come from a Fine Gael Deputy. I have to place on the record that it does. I hope to be continuously surprised. I thank Deputy McLoughlin for giving me that hope. I listened to and participated in the earlier debate on climate change and will not repeat what I said then....
- Questions on Proposed Legislation (27 Oct 2016)
Catherine Connolly: This morning, the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, Deputy Denis Naughten, confirmed that we would ratify the Paris Agreement, COP 21, on 4 November. He also committed to producing the mitigation plan before the end of the year. We have serious obligations in that context on public transport. In Galway city, 55 families are going to be left without a bus. I have...
- Questions on Proposed Legislation (27 Oct 2016)
Catherine Connolly: It comes under public transport in regard to emissions. Given that Bus Éireann has unilaterally said it cannot afford to provide a service, 55 families whose children attend a DEIS school are going to be left without public transport. That is after 25 years of calling it an interim measure. I would like action on the matter.

Catherine Connolly: Certainly.
- UN Paris Agreement on Climate Change: Motion (27 Oct 2016)
Catherine Connolly: I welcome the opportunity to speak on this. I fully support the ratification of the agreement. It is an urgent call to action. I am afraid the debate is over. With the greatest of respect to Deputy Danny Healy-Rae, the Sarah Palin type of politics is over. That debate is gone. The debate is no longer on whether our emissions are having an effect: it is on the severity of the impact and...

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs: Sustaining Viable Rural Communities: Discussion (Resumed) (26 Oct 2016)
Catherine Connolly: I welcome the commentary from ISME in regard to rural transport and what it is seeking for in that regard. Perhaps a member of ISME would elaborate on the French and Austrian Alpine solution and the free bus. The issue of procurement has been raised. I, too, would welcome some elaboration on that issue. As stated by my colleague, Deputy Cannon, Galway city is booming on one level but...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs: Sustaining Viable Rural Communities: Discussion (Resumed) (26 Oct 2016)
Catherine Connolly: Gabhaim mo mhíle buíochas leis an gCathaoirleach mar níl mé ar an gcoiste seo ach tháinig mé isteach mar tá suim agam i gcúrsaí Gaeilge agus Gaeltachta. Sin an fáth go bhfuil mé anseo. Tá cúpla ceist agam maidir leis an mbuiséad. An bhfuil sé thíos nó an bhfuil sé thuas? Is ceist dhíreach é...

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs: Sustaining Viable Rural Communities: Discussion (Resumed) (26 Oct 2016)
Catherine Connolly: Rud amháin atá mé fiosrach faoi ná an scéim fostaíochta tuaithe. An rud eile ná go bhfuil sé ar intinn ag an údarás 1,000 post breise a chruthú. Cé mhéad airgid atá ag teastáil chun na poist sin a chruthú?
