My experience is that we hear a lot of complaints from rank-and-file gardaí about the pressure they feel if an investigation is under way. Brian Stanley: GSOC does not have the staff to carry out investigations in a timely manner. That is clear. It is at about half capacity. Some members of the public would raise the matter of former members of the Garda being involved in an investigation on behalf of GSOC. Would GSOC find any difficulties around that or any conflict around judging performance?
