Pat Moylan: I have to announce that today, 23 February 2010, the Taoiseach nominated Mr. Mark Dearey, with his prior consent, to fill the casual vacancy in the number of nominated Members of Seanad Éireann caused by the resignation of Déirdre de Búrca. I welcome him to the House and congratulate him on his appointment. Senator Mark Dearey was introduced to the Cathaoirleach and then took his seat.
