Jerry Buttimer: Senator McDowell is a long-standing Member of the Houses of the Oireachtas and he has made this point on more than one occasion, in his defence. We might discuss this at the Committee on Parliamentary Privileges and Oversight, CPPO, with the leaders and Whips. The Senator has made the point repeatedly about time allocation for debates, and I think he is correct.
