Dermot Ahern: A contract for the provision of the complete Garda operational uniform was awarded in 2008 following a competitive procurement process. I am advised by the Garda authorities that, for commercial competition reasons, it would not be appropriate to provide details of the cost of an individual Garda uniform shirt under the contract.
