Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: National Aviation Policy: Ryanair (30 Nov 2022)

Gerry Horkan: I do not think we have had a committee as well attended by members and non-members in a long time. I thank Mr. O'Leary for his time. He was asked to go into politics by the former Minister, the late Séamus Brennan, to whom he made many references previously. Back in the early days of Stansted airport, Mr. Brennan was the person who not only ensured Ryanair had a presence there and a...

Seanad: Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) (Amendment) Bill 2022: Report Stage (29 Nov 2022)

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Motorway Toll Charges: Transport Infrastructure Ireland (29 Nov 2022)

Gerry Horkan: I apologise for missing some of the meeting. I had a prior engagement. I read the opening statement Mr. Walsh submitted to the committee, but I did not catch all of the interactions that have taken place this evening. I apologise if I repeat points that were already raised. The announcement today of a deferral for at least six months of the increase in toll charges takes some of the heat...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Motorway Toll Charges: Transport Infrastructure Ireland (29 Nov 2022)

Gerry Horkan: I have an idea, although not as much of a handle as the witnesses do, of the running cost of the network. That is really the question I am asking.

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Motorway Toll Charges: Transport Infrastructure Ireland (29 Nov 2022)
