James Reilly: The Adoption Authority advises that 36 adoptions from the USA have been recorded in the Register of Intercountry Adoptions since the enactment of the Adoption Act 2010. As the USA is considered to be one entity under the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-Operation in respect of Intercountry Adoption, the Authority does not maintain statistics in respect of individual US states.
