Aengus Ó Snodaigh: Tá sé sin spéisiúil. Maidir leis an ardú 20%, an gceapann na finnéithe go raibh baint ag Covid leis seo agus daoine ag fanacht sa mbaile?

Joint Committee on the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Irish Speaking Community: Díolúintí i leith Staidéar na Gaeilge sa Mheánscolaíocht: Plé (21 Sep 2022)

Aengus Ó Snodaigh: Tuigim. Tá súil agam go mbeidh deis againn roinnt de na ceisteanna atá ardaithe anseo againne agus ag na finnéithe a chur roimh na dreamanna eile a thiocfaidh os comhair an choiste idir seo agus deireadh mhí na Samhna, agus go bhfaighimid roinnt freagraí ó chumann na bpríomhoidí, ón Roinn, srl. Saincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Debate: An Garda Síochána (20 Sep 2022)

Aengus Ó Snodaigh: I agree with the Minister that there is some good work being done by gardaí based in Ballyfermot. I was aware of a number of arrests, but those seven arrests have not quelled the issue and it seems to be continuing unabated. One resident wrote to me today who has set up a WhatsApp group with her mother. She wrote: “We have this group to notify and warn each other if there is a...

Saincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Debate: An Garda Síochána (20 Sep 2022)

Aengus Ó Snodaigh: First, I wish to condemn outright those who were involved yesterday evening and every other night and day in rallying robbed cars through the neighbourhood of Cherry Orchard. Thankfully, nobody has been seriously injured in this ongoing spate of criminal behaviour by youths in the area. As anybody who watched the lawlessness of the joyriders as they raced up and down the road in the housing...

An Bord Pleanála: Statements (15 Sep 2022)

Aengus Ó Snodaigh: I can finish by saying that the Dublin city manager agreed that these figures were involved. I can ask the Minister whether he agreed that €300,000 was being set aside kind of to pay traders. It is a simple question. There are no allegations. Were there conditions tied to those payments? Was the Minister aware that Dublin City Council was also going to give up a similar figure?...

An Bord Pleanála: Statements (15 Sep 2022)

An Bord Pleanála: Statements (15 Sep 2022)

Aengus Ó Snodaigh: The Minister stated we have to have trust and integrity in An Bord Pleanála. I agree with him that we should have trust not just in An Bord Pleanála but in the full planning process and in our civil servants. It is difficult at times, when decisions have been fundamentally flawed and An Bord Pleanála has often been a closed shop. Now board members and their actions have been...
