The Cathaoirleach is right; PFAS are mostly used for firefighting foam and that is an historical issue. Will the DAA take up the responsibility or will there be an impact for the Department? That is the focus of my concern and I do not think that was answered, but maybe we did not put that across strongly...

Paul McAuliffe: I wish to say one thing. Obviously, Dublin Airport has used PFAS historically. However, there are other airports on this island and there is a broader question around how widespread this issue, and therefore what the cumulative impact, is.
