What the Minister of State is doing is like pulling teeth, but incrementally she is making a huge difference right across her portfolio through a common-sense approach and a little bit of cop-on where it really matters. I thank her for her time because we know how busy she is.

Martin Conway: The issue the committee has is that when we receive the documentation, even if it is a draft that requires refinement, we feel that, in the interests of transparency, we should be able to publish what is provided to us, even as a draft.

Martin Conway: I welcome that the Minister has acknowledged that a cost of €4.5 million to the taxpayer is unacceptable. The role of this committee is to limit, as much as possible, this type of unnecessary infringement and cost to taxpayers.
