David Stanton: My question really is related to PIAB's role and the limits that might apply to it. If someone is involved in a car accident and has a catastrophic injury which might yield an amount in the millions, is PIAB ruled out in circumstances like that? Does it just go to court?

David Stanton: The first payment was approved by a court in February 2019. Periodic payment orders are obviously linked to insurance claims as well. I want to know whether the officials have looked at the possibility of PIAB being involved in them. Similar to what Mr. Newham just said, would they be too complex for PIAB? Would they have to be dealt with by the courts?
