Terry Leyden: I hope an appointment will be made by next Monday. Quite frankly, it is very insulting. We need an ambassador in the United States of America. There is no point in withdrawing our ambassador but it is a shame. I compliment the work of Senators Mark Daly, Paschal Mooney and others who have been working with the 40 million diaspora in the United States of America.
