Mark Daly: I thank the Acting Leader and all the other Members for their remarks on the joint sitting. I pay tribute to all those involved in organising the event. President Zelenskyy set us a challenge and I know we all intend to meet that challenge.

Mark Daly: I will interrupt Senator O'Loughlin so that Senator Malcolm Byrne can give her a glass of water. For the first time in history, he did not take up his entire allocated time. He is a man who is well able to talk down the clock in normal circumstances but he has given Senator O'Loughlin the bones of ten minutes, so I will allow her to take a drink of water and to catch her breath.
