Brian Ó Domhnaill: The Minister is tinkering around the edges if he is talking about â¬50 or â¬200. We are proposing the amendment because we believe there should be no charges. There is a way of doing it. There is â¬431 million in the Minister's budget this year for the maintenance and servicing of urban wastewater treatment systems. Some of that money should be diverted to rural Ireland....

Brian Ó Domhnaill: They may not have. The point I are trying to make is a genuine one. I am not trying to be argumentative but I am trying to establish what maintenance standards will be established for septic tanks. Can I take it the Minister is scrapping the most recent 1999-2000 EPA maintenance standards and that he will look at something else that has not yet been drawn up? What are the maintenance standards?
