Bernard Durkan: In respect of young girls and teenagers presenting after an alleged rape, two questions arise. The first is about the availability of the appropriate treatment and the legality of it. The second concerns the situation in which sometimes the attack is not reported for various reasons. Can the witnesses tell us something about the factors that might restrict reporting in that area?
