Seán Power: The Health Service Executive appointed a professor of geriatric medicine to independently review the deaths of residents of Leas Cross nursing home. Seán Power: My Department has sought a detailed report on this issue from the Health Service Executive. This report has not yet been received; when it is, it will be referred to the CJD advisory group for consideration and advice on any policy implications. At this stage in its investigations the HSE is confident that it can see no basis for the suggestion that there may be a cluster of such cases.
