- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health: BreastCheck and National Cancer Control Programme: HSE
BreastCheck Screening Programme and Improving Outcomes for Breast Cancer: Discussion (19 Oct 2021) John Lahart: I have one final point. It seems to me that the cyberattack has been almost equally as intrusive as Covid. I have run out of time for further questions but I ask the witnesses to come back on the specific impact the cyberattack has had. I did not get a chance at the start to thank the witnesses. I thank them for all the extra evenings, the weekend clinics and the extended working days....

BreastCheck Screening Programme and Improving Outcomes for Breast Cancer: Discussion (19 Oct 2021) John Lahart: Why? In what way?
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health: BreastCheck and National Cancer Control Programme: HSE
BreastCheck Screening Programme and Improving Outcomes for Breast Cancer: Discussion (19 Oct 2021) John Lahart: There seemed to be a contradiction in the answers in that regard, and I do not mean deliberately so. In one of the first answers, if I heard it correctly, it was stated that family history was not really relevant. I got confused then, because a subsequent answer seemed to suggest that a predisposition to it was a factor. I ask for some clarification of that aspect.

- Financial Resolutions 2021 - Financial Resolution No. 2: General (Resumed) (14 Oct 2021)
John Lahart: I am sharing time. I will narrow my focus, because I just have three or four minutes, to a specific aspect of the budget. Then, in the context of the finance Bill I will talk about other issues. One of the policy issues close to my heart is the issue of special needs education, as well as the provision of many facilities, supports, backup, teachers, and hours to those children who have...

- Recovery of Tourism and Aviation: Statements (7 Oct 2021)
John Lahart: There is a common theme running through the debate and it seems to be at the expense of Dublin, so I will put some of the case for Dublin. I know the Minister is a Dublin Deputy as well as a Minister, but often in the Dáil Chamber there is a very unbalanced debate. I never knew I had so many cabin crew and pilots in my constituency until Covid came along. The situation as of...
- Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation (7 Oct 2021)
John Lahart: I thank the Leas-Cheann Comhairle for including me. I was going to ask a further question about the UCC students - I ask that the Tánaiste follow up on the matter - but Deputy Cowen's point made a strong impression on me because I was not aware of the issue. His point is that the ESB, a commercial semi-State company, won a bid to be one of the electricity suppliers but failed to supply...

- Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Covid-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment (7 Oct 2021)
John Lahart: When we cast our minds back, we did not anticipate that we would have Covid vaccines until the end of this year. In fact, 90% of our population is now vaccinated. The Minister mentioned earlier that she expects the numbers in receipt of the PUP to fall below 100,000 for the first time next week. Will she update the House on the breakdown of the fall in the number of persons in receipt of...
