Edward Timmins: I was a councillor for 20 years, so I am institutionalised. I bring the councillors in here and I involve them as much as possible, find out what is happening and get ideas from them.

I have brought up the issue of long-term budgeting with the relevant Ministers. This is not directly within the Taoiseach's remit but I will raise the issue again given his overall economic brief.
