Simon Harris: Seanad Éireann considered the Senator’s amendment with great deliberation, as one would expect from the House. Senators voted to reject it because they realised it was not necessary. We do not need the Senator to protect pregnancies because women do that. Women are the greatest protectors of their pregnancies.
