Select Committee on Children and Youth Affairs: Birth Information and Tracing Bill 2022: Committee Stage (Resumed) (8 Mar 2022)

Kathleen Funchion: I support what Deputy Bacik is saying. I fundamentally disagree with the mandatory information session. We all know the idea of registered post is that if somebody...

Select Committee on Children and Youth Affairs: Birth Information and Tracing Bill 2022: Committee Stage (2 Mar 2022)

Kathleen Funchion: I appreciate what the Minister is saying about looking at that section, but if we even look at amendment No. 1 on its own, it gives a comprehensive list. If it were accepted, that would show an intention to work collaboratively and address some of the concerns that exist.
