Michael Healy-Rae: I welcome the Minister and his officials. I believe the Minister dropped the ball a number of weeks ago. Many Members were calling in the Dáil for action to be taken earlier several weeks ago. While I welcome wholeheartedly what has been put in place, it should have been happening a number of weeks ago.

Michael Healy-Rae: There is the practical problem of farmers feeding their animals every day. There is another problem which has not been spoken about at the committee - the psychological pressure farmers are under. One action the Minister can take today is to instruct that all farm and forestry inspections temporarily cease until such time as the crisis is over. I am not suggesting farmers would do anything...
