- Men's Health: Statements (22 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: I am probably not going to say anything that is much different from what many other Members said. As others stated, there is a lot of really good work being done around men's health. This month, we have seen it most publicly in sport, with Movember and the OddBalls Foundation are becoming familiar to a lot of fans. As we all agree, men are still reluctant to go to the doctor and share...
- Irish Unity: Motion [Private Members] (21 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: The reality of unity, an end to division and the possibility of a united Ireland is very much part of the political conversation on this island now more than ever. It has been a focus point of discussion during the ongoing presidential election, even more so than when Martin McGuinness was running in 2011. It has moved beyond the hypothetical and people are now discussing what kind of...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement: Healthcare Provision: Discussion (21 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: This is an interesting conversation. If we are talking about the problems of the health service in the North, we have to look at the bigger issue as to what has been happening. If you talk to someone in Liverpool about their health service, they will mention the same problems, and who will they blame them on? They will not blame them on Sinn Féin. They will blame them on the Tories,...
- Written Answers — Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade: Middle East (21 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: 108. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the date by which the Israeli Settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (Prohibition of Importation of Goods) Bill 2025 will be introduced in Dáil Éireann; his views on whether there should be no delay in its progression amidst the lull in the conflict; his views on the fact that illegal settlements in the West Bank and...
- Written Answers — Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade: Foreign Policy (21 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: 107. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if his attention has been drawn to the protests, often marred by police violence, that have been ongoing across Serbia for the past 11 months; his views on whether the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s visit to Serbia could be seen as a statement of support for President Aleksandar Vučić amidst...
- Written Answers — Department of Housing, Planning, and Local Government: Housing Policy (21 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: 469. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if he is aware that local authorities are stalling applications to the social housing list by homeless individuals if they cannot provide a utility bill in their name or a sworn affidavit by people who are allowing them to couch surf, though this might include tenants in social housing who may be reluctant to provide such an...
- Financial Resolutions 2025 - Financial Resolution No. 5: General (Resumed) (15 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: It is my opinion, but it is shared by a lot of people out there, that budget 2026 failed to deliver any real hope or pathway for the families and individuals left behind by successive Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael Governments. Every week, new families or individuals who are homeless or facing homelessness turns up at my constituency office. That is fact. There is nothing in the budget...
- Written Answers — Department of Health: Health Strategies (14 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: 867. To ask the Minister for Health if she intends to fully fund the 2024–30 collaborative tuberculosis strategy for Ireland. [54966/25]
- Committee on European Union Affairs: Engagement with Representatives of the European Committee of the Regions (8 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: I was on the Committee of the Regions many years ago, a bit before Deputy Lahart. They were frustrating times because you could see the potential of the committee but there was something missing. One of the things I found to be missing - and we touched on this morning - was that there is not always a dedicated officer in councils. There are eight of them, which is a big weakness. I get...
- Written Answers — Department of Justice and Equality: Local Community Safety Partnerships (7 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: 390. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the date by which he will appoint the members of the new South Dublin Local Community Safety Partnership so they may meet and begin their work. [52941/25]

Seán Crowe: 549. To ask the Minister for Health the date by which it is expected to publish the complaints and patient safety policy. [52940/25]
- Written Answers — Department of Health: Disease Management (7 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: 601. To ask the Minister for Health if her Department is concerned regarding the rise in tuberculosis cases in the State, particularly drug-resistant strains; if she will commit to public funding of the National TB Centre and Clinical Team at St James’s Hospital and allocating resources to the Irish Mycobacterial Reference Laboratory at St James’s Hospital, given that Ireland is...
- Situation in Gaza: Statements (1 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: Any plan that could end the wholesale slaughter of tens of thousands of civilians in Gaza is to be welcomed. The world has watched a genocide as children starve and aid rots just miles away. I welcome that a core part of the 20-point plan is to end the weaponisation of aid from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and place it in the hands of the UN and the Red Crescent. However, for any...
- Committee on European Union Affairs: Eurofound: Discussion (1 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: The witnesses are very welcome. The housing situation was mentioned. It is a challenge right across Europe but particularly acute in Ireland. We have heard surveys from different organisations on the challenge facing those affected. Clearly, there is a problem in that area of work. I presume Eurofound, as an organisation, does research in relation to it. What way is it fed back into the...
- Committee on European Union Affairs: Eurofound: Discussion (1 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: One of the challenges in this city, although not exclusively here, is that large companies are buying up properties for their employees. Is that a challenge in other jurisdictions? Again, does Eurofound make recommendations in that regard or does it just note it? What is the pathway for concerns that people would have about something like that? I refer to the fact that the local...
- Committee on European Union Affairs: Eurofound: Discussion (1 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: We know that in Ireland, if people have a disability, they are less likely to have a job. Has Eurofound done research on that, and pathways to remove those barriers, across Europe? If it has done that research, how does that go into the political debate and particularly impact on governments which, ultimately, are the ones that will have to remove those barriers to those with a disability?
- Committee on European Union Affairs: Eurofound: Discussion (1 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: We are told that it is a priority of the Government. In Ireland about 1 million people are impacted when we include family members of people with a disability or people with an age profile that means they require care. It is a huge issue for society. If we want social cohesion and to move forward in an inclusive society then clearly we need to be addressing this as a matter of urgency.
- Committee on European Union Affairs: Eurofound: Discussion (1 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: To move to a different issue, there were media reports today about a high turnover of workers in the Irish workplace, with large numbers of people changing jobs. Is there research on why that is happening? Approximately three out of five workers are changing jobs. In some cases, it is because of promotion or moving sideways but there is huge fluidity. Is that normal or is it unique to Ireland?
- Committee on European Union Affairs: Eurofound: Discussion (1 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: I have one question on research in the context of migration. How important is it that workers feel welcome? Has Eurofound looked at that issue? There is a narrative in some countries, which I can name if necessary, which holds that foreign workers are a burden, a danger, suspect, different and so on. Has Mr. Kalfin done research on that? What are the recommendations that are going through...
- Committee on European Union Affairs: Eurofound: Discussion (1 Oct 2025)
Seán Crowe: We talked earlier about how there is so much information and research going on that it is hard to keep abreast of it. We had the Chair of the transport committee here earlier on. This is the European affairs committee and if there is research it would be really useful if Mr. Kalfin's agency fed it into us. I do not know if it happens but if there is research on transport or housing there...
