- Mental Health Services Reports: Motion [Private Members] (2 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: I thank the Leas-Cheann Comhairle. It is hard enough to get any time at all here.
- EU-Mercosur Trade Agreement: Statements (3 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: I am glad to have an opportunity to highlight what farmers are saying to me about this deal. They are very angry. They are on their knees and have been for all of this year and a good part of last year. Today, the factories will not even take beef. The farmers have to wait 30 days for the factories to accept animals. The Minister knows how much that is costing. Farmers are in a trap or...
- Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation (3 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: I want to give credit where it is due. The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Deputy Michael Ring, reintroduced the local improvement scheme, LIS. However, Kerry County Council has received over 800 applications for funding under this scheme but it has only enough funding for 28 projects. I appeal to the Minister to give Kerry County Council additional funding for this important...
- Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation (3 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: The people who drive these roads pay motor tax. They also pay property tax and most of them have their own water supply. These people are as deserving of good roads as the people in Dublin 4. I again ask the Minister, Deputy Ring, to give Kerry County Council additional funding for the local improvement scheme.
- Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation (3 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: It is. It is related to the programme for Government. There are roads in the Leas-Cheann Comhairle's constituency of Donegal as well and the local authority there will need money for them. The Leas-Cheann Comhairle should take my side.
- Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation (3 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: Yes, we will take it.
- An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business (9 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: I was first. I raise the important matter of the passenger motor car industry. The Society of the Irish Motor Industry has indicated that sales have decreased by 7.5% this year and it is blaming the Government's scaremongering on climate change. It is causing uncertainty and people are not buying cars like they were before. There is another issue-----

- Special Educational Needs: Motion [Private Members] (9 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: I thank Deputies O'Loughlin and Eugene Murphy, and their Fianna Fáil colleagues for providing us with the opportunity to talk on this very important motion this evening. Early assessment of needs is vital. Many families cannot afford to pay for this themselves, are on the public waiting list and have to wait too long. The longer the children are without assistance, their needs...
- EU-Mercosur Trade Agreement: Motion [Private Members] (10 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: Thousands of decent and honest people from all over came to protest outside the gates of Leinster House today. They are very angry. They are already squeezed by the factories and if Brexit happens, they know they will be squeezed further. It is outlandish to think the Government is considering a deal with Mercosur when it complies with no rules and regulations. The animals are not tagged...

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Climate Action: Housing and Retrofitting: Discussion (10 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: I refer to the delivery of the warmer homes scheme. For 15 years, I believe, community based, community-led organisations have been delivering the warmer homes scheme for the SEAI. It has become apparent that there will be a shortfall of €1.8 million if 13 community based organisations, CBOs, are to continue this work, which would deliver 660 units across the 13 CBOs. If they have...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Climate Action: Housing and Retrofitting: Discussion (10 Jul 2019)
Danny Healy-Rae: Mr. Manley is, therefore, confirming that the Department is prepared to allocate more funding where there is interest. The CBOs are crying out for funding. If they do not receive it, they will have to let go skilled people who have accumulated experience over 15 years. This is the first time it has happened. It is ironic-----

Danny Healy-Rae: I would be very grateful if Mr. Manley honoured it by speaking to the CBOs.

Danny Healy-Rae: This is very important for the communities in County Kerry that I represent.
