To ask the Minister for Health his views on the confirmation from the HSE that the amplification cycles used in PCR testing here runs between 40 and 45 amplification cycles, in view of the fact that the maximum number of amplification cycles should be 30 to 35 or fewer, as anything over 35 indicates the test is too sensitive, which increases the number of false positives.
