Ceisteanna ar Pholasaí nó ar Reachtaíocht - Questions on Policy or Legislation (30 Nov 2023)

Mattie McGrath: I too want to be associated with the vote of sympathy to the MacGowan family and to Victoria, on the death of fellow Tipperary man, Shane MacGowan. He was a wonderful artist and has left a very rich legacy. The Tánaiste visited Ardfinnan more than two years ago, in September 2021, about Ardfinnan Bridge. I salute Margaret Egan and the community council and the work they have done...

Planning and Development Bill 2023: Second Stage (30 Nov 2023)

Mattie McGrath: I am disappointed with the Bill. The Bill has a massive volume but there are gaping discrepancies in it. Planning and Development Bill 2023: Second Stage (30 Nov 2023)

Mattie McGrath: He is much bigger than me but I knocked him over, thank God, and I was able to handle him then when he was down. It is easy to climb a tall tree that is knocked over. Going back to the county development plans, I note the input and work that Councillor Fitzgerald put in. He was the whip of his party over the years. I wish him, his wife, Mary, and his family well on his retirement.

Planning and Development Bill 2023: Second Stage (30 Nov 2023)

Mattie McGrath: Councillor Fitzgerald replaced his late dad on the council, so the service in the family goes back even longer. I wish his mum, who is in her 95th year, well too.
