Jerry Buttimer: Senator Craughwell knows that the Minister of State, Deputy Kehoe, tasked the Public Service Pay Commission with prioritising matters regarding the Defence Forces. The process included written and verbal submissions from the Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces, the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, the Department of Defence and official representative bodies of the Defence Forces.

Senator Murnane O'Connor raised the issue of gaming and the World Health Organization. We had a debate as part of the Gaming and Lotteries Bill, which was passed in this House this week.
