The reality, however, is that people in Thurles do not want the post office moved to the shopping centre and will refuse to use it there. The car park is crammed and the shopping centre is difficult to access, especially for elderly people. The Minister of State noted...

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine: Future of the Beef Sector: Discussion (Resumed) (16 Apr 2019)
Jackie Cahill: Mr. Graham stated farmers should pay for waste product being sent to the Continent. That is what he said and it will be on the record of the House. The idea that this product of the dairy herd is a waste...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine: Future of the Beef Sector: Discussion (Resumed) (16 Apr 2019)
Jackie Cahill: A few hundred thousand euro was collected last year by Bord Bia due to calves leaving the country. It can support infrastructure for them.
