In Cork, on the coast off Kinsale, a value-for-money report was commissioned that found the Summercove station should be closed and the Oysterhaven unit purposely built up. There was also mention of sharing purpose-built buildings with the RNLI. Why was the Summercove station kept open when it was supposed to close?

Why are we talking about these things now when they should have been brought before us three months ago when the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport was bringing forward the Road Traffic (Amendment) Act 2018? It is annoying.
