Simon Harris: There were no costs to the Department to incorporate the use of the Eircode on the information technology systems or databases. The Department uses its own Eircode on official stationery and emails, and encourages staff to use Eircodes on outgoing mail.

Leo Varadkar: The Department of the Taoiseach does not have policy responsibility for the design, implementation or support of the Eircode system. As answered in previous Parliamentary Questions, there has been no expenditure by the Department relating to the Eircode.
