- Energy Conservation (2 May 2012)
Niall Collins: I thank the Minister. He will be aware that the Irish League of Credit Unions recently conducted a survey of its membership. The survey was widely reported and was a credible piece of research. Some of the findings related to energy costs. One in four respondents said they cannot cope with rising energy prices, 15% said they had to dip into their savings to deal with rising energy costs...
- Gas Exploration (2 May 2012)
Niall Collins: We all will be aware of the contentious nature of the fracturing process. Indeed, a number of local authorities have passed motions banning it within their administrative areas, and that is all well reported. I did not hear one part of the Minister of State's reply. Will he publish the report as soon as it is available? Will it be made available to the public?

- Sale of State Assets (2 May 2012)
Niall Collins: It has been stated, in the announcements and communications to date, that it is envisaged that Bord Gáis will have the individual water metering and billing system up and running by 2014. My party notes the disparity between...

Niall Collins: I heard the Minister being interviewed about the broadcasting charge on "Morning Ireland" some days ago. He was at pains to stress that it is not a new charge.
- Television Licence Fee (2 May 2012)
Niall Collins: However, it is a new charge to a person who has not had to pay it to date but may now fall into the eligible category. The Minister might have been gilding the lily a little in this regard. Is it his intention to collect more revenue under the broadcasting charge than is the case by way of the television licence fee? Has he any plan or proposal to deal with the allocation of that funding?...

- Water Charges (3 May 2012)
Niall Collins: In the likely event the Minister's target number of houses will not be metered by 2014, what is his plan B for the project? Will he address the anomaly in the units to which he referred which cannot be metered in the short term because there is a disparity? The Minister quotes a figure of 300,000 units and the House will be aware what the executive engineer from Dublin City Council has said.

Niall Collins: The recent census figures on which we can rely state that apartments, bed-sits and pre-1960 buildings combined come to a figure of 503,000 units.
