- Saincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Debate: Health Services (7 Dec 2021)
Aengus Ó Snodaigh: I welcome the Minister of State's clarification. I hope that it will stand the test of time and that, as he presented it, this was a miscommunication. I know the Minister of State’s track record on the drugs issue. I accept that he personally might not want to go ahead with this but there has been tension all along between communities, community groups and some in the Department and...

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Education and Skills: Leaving Certificate Reform: Discussion (Resumed) (7 Dec 2021)
Aengus Ó Snodaigh: I only get to use what little French I have when I am abroad. Perhaps that is the same problem some people have with Irish. I do not get to practise Latin at all, whatever Latin remains with me having spent four years learning it in secondary school. I was more interested in the history of Rome than in Latin.
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Education and Skills: Leaving Certificate Reform: Discussion (Resumed) (7 Dec 2021)
Aengus Ó Snodaigh: I tried but I did not learn it. I was in the classroom for the subject for four years. The same was the case with French. I have a view of languages, which often people have of the Irish language. Some of it was my own fault and some of it was due to the way it was taught.
