Michael D Higgins: A Cheann Comhairle, I ask you to consider allowing the matter of Burma/Myanmar to be raised in another way. There is a precedent for not allowing matters to be raised under Standing Order 32 because they lack urgency. I cannot think of a topic so clearly urgent as the threat to the lives of people demonstrating for democracy on the streets.
