Ceisteanna ó Cheannairí - Leaders' Questions (28 Mar 2019)

Catherine Connolly: Maidir le fíricí, yesterday the Taoiseach said that 10,000 social houses were built last year, so the Tánaiste might check the record when he accuses others of falsifying information. Faraor, táim ar ais arís go Páirc Mhuirlinne. Tá dhá obrádlann as úsaíd de bharr an báistí atá ag stealladh isteach. Tá an dá...

Ceisteanna ó Cheannairí - Leaders' Questions (28 Mar 2019)

Catherine Connolly: I thank the Tánaiste for the attempted answer and giving me a history lesson on the matter. It is beyond frustration and beyond anger. If a Government can stand over 2,000 people suffering and getting worse, there is something seriously wrong. Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (28 Mar 2019)

Catherine Connolly: Tangentially, last week I met representatives of the Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board, GRETB, with other Deputies. This does not concern the internal audit function, but I note that the implementation of shared services is moving very slowly. The GRETB representatives said the technology was not fit for purpose. They highlighted payroll and finance operations. They said...

Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (28 Mar 2019)

Catherine Connolly: We have discussed it and heard the theory, but the reality on the ground is that there is a huge delay in the roll-out of shared services. The ETB's representatives explained to us the issues related to payroll. I am trying to get my head around the finance aspect. I do not know how far behind we are in the roll-out, but the people who are speaking to us identified it as a risk.
