Mary White: The European Court of Justice ruling also discourages fathers from taking time off work to care for their children as they could end up falling behind their colleagues in the pay stakes. The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment must come before the House to discuss legislation that will guarantee that parents who put their children first are rewarded and not punished.
