- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence and the State: Discussion (21 Oct 2025)
James Geoghegan: Will Dr. Shrishak elaborate on that?
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence and Disability: Discussion (Resumed) (4 Nov 2025)
James Geoghegan: I thank the witnesses. There are some familiar faces I dealt with in the Dublin transport plan. Mr. Sherwin mentioned earlier that the language learning models do not even have a corpus of ISL to work from. Will he expand on what he meant by that?
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence and Disability: Discussion (Resumed) (4 Nov 2025)
James Geoghegan: Mr. Sherwin said there is nobody really working on a strategy in relation to this corpus at the moment. Who would be the appropriate entity or Department to build on a strategy like that?

James Geoghegan: This committee will compile reports at various stages of the work we are doing. Presumably, building a corpus of Irish Sign Language is something the witnesses have been trying to do for a...
- International Protection Processing and Enforcement: Statements (5 Nov 2025)
James Geoghegan: Deputy O'Flynn has left the Chamber but unless I misheard him, he said that when we walk through our villages, they do not reflect Irish society. I am not sure what he meant by that but I cannot imagine how it could be interpreted as anything other than inflammatory. It really puts into stark contrast the labels that have been thrown at my party leader for the measured remarks he has made...
