- Public Accounts Committee: Vote 34 - Housing, Planning and Local Government (resumed) (3 Jun 2021)
Marc MacSharry: I welcome the Secretary General and the team from the Custom House. I have a couple of questions. These are rapid-fire buzzer questions, which will require a yes or no answer. Has the Department agreed one rule on whether local authorities consider somebody housed or not housed, once he or she is on either RAS or HAP? In other words, if I am on HAP or RAS, am I off the housing list, or am...
- Public Accounts Committee: Vote 34 - Housing, Planning and Local Government (resumed) (3 Jun 2021)
Marc MacSharry: Is there consistency across our local authorities with that? I do not think there is, in my own experience.
- Public Accounts Committee: Vote 34 - Housing, Planning and Local Government (resumed) (3 Jun 2021)
Marc MacSharry: That was a yes or no answer. Can a note on this be sent to us? My concern - and it can be addressed in the note – is that there is no consistency to this. I would prefer if people remained under consideration for houses.

Marc MacSharry: I thank the witnesses and ask them to send us a note on what the strategy is for the year ahead. Given last year's success, perhaps all of the 8,000 people will get into homes. I have a little bit of trivia. I gather that the Department was going to open a time capsule from the Queen Maeve statue at the Customs House and I am very anxious to know what was in it, if it was opened on its...
- Public Accounts Committee: Vote 34 - Housing, Planning and Local Government (resumed) (3 Jun 2021)

- National Recovery and Resilience Plan: Statements (2 Jun 2021)
Marc MacSharry: I welcome the announcement of the €4 billion that will be spent in the time ahead and the fact we will not have a cliff edge in terms of the various supports. I would like to have seen Europe divvying up more than the €900 million. That is required and we will have to display a level of agility as we move forward in terms of additional issues that will have to be addressed to...

Marc MacSharry: We need alignment. There is no evidence to suggest that congregation in recent weeks, not just last weekend, has led to a spike in numbers. Let us give people the summer they deserve and then we might have the beginning of a recovery.
