In his statement of 5 May, he said concerns were expressed that some press releases did not accurately reflect the board's level of awareness of the existence of the €100,000. Fergus O'Dowd: I think I have Mr. Conway's answer. Sport Ireland was before the committee and its witnesses asked why the FAI did not go to them for the €100,000. They said that Sport Ireland would have been more than happy to help.
