Brendan Howlin: On the basis of data provided by the Office of the Paymaster General, the number of Civil Service pensioners in receipt of pensions in excess of €50,000 is 645. The estimated yield from capping Civil Service pensioners at €50,000 is of the order of €10 million. The data for the wider Public Service would be a matter for the respective line Departments.
