Emer Higgins: The council’s market research that only 30% of people know about the legalities around searching themselves for archaeological artefacts is interesting. There has been a lot of publicity on that in the past week. I commend the council on raising awareness of that. Would Ms Collier or Mr. Moore like to make a comment?

We will have to digest them, particularly when it comes to clarifying the role of local authorities, the role of the Minister versus the commission and elaborating on the fantastic work that the OPW does. I will bring in Deputy McAuliffe for seven minutes.

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Disability Matters: Aligning Education with the UNCRPD (Resumed): Discussion (17 Feb 2022)

Emer Higgins: I thank the witnesses. That was such an informative discussion and very uplifting to hear some of the lived experiences. As a country which has historically suffered many threats to our own sovereignty, our hearts in Ireland are breaking for the people in Ukraine and, indeed, for all those living through war while praying for peace. We...
