Are there any long-term plans to dispose of those weapons? Related to that is the storage of obsolete equipment such as Bren guns and Gustavs that are no longer used. Are many Irish citizens based in Sri Lanka at the moment?

David Stanton: ...of the Constitution she is concerned about because I am not clear on that, but I hear what she is saying. I notice that the wage cap for calculating statutory redundancy has not changed for a long time. Would it make a difference if that were adjusted? Our friends from the trade unions or Ms McElwee might like to comment on that.

Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Special Educational Needs (30 Jun 2022)

David Stanton: ...on about for quite some time, and I know my colleague Deputy Buckley is also interested in this. That issue is the need to establish a special school in east Cork. What plans are there to establish a special school in this large and highly populated area?

David Stanton: ...Bennett comment on the other countries in this region, including the Central African Republic, Eritrea and Ethiopia? Those two latter countries went through their own horrible war in Tigre not so long ago. That conflict has quietened down now, and hopefully it will stay that way. I refer as well to Uganda and Kenya. Is this situation in Sudan having an impact on the surrounding countries?

Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Domestic Violence (21 Oct 2021)

David Stanton: I commend the Minister and the Department on the supports they are providing in this area, but I put it to her that it is quite often the case that when court cases occur, which is often a long time after the events in question, the victims are retraumatised and there is further need at that stage for support and counselling. I ask the Minister to take that request on board and revert to me...

It will mean trucks and so on that have no business being in the street will not be spewing out diesel and...

Vote 35 - Army Pensions (Revised)
Vote 36 - Department of Defence (Revised)
