Dara Calleary: I welcome the engagement on the fuel issue. That is very urgent. Has the Local Link organisation made a submission to the review or has the Department engaged with it? Local Link is an asset that could be very much part of school transport as well as community transport. It could be possible to exchange and co-ordinate assets that are available to school transport for broader community...

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on European Union Affairs: Post-Brexit Relations: Engagement with Scottish Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, External Affairs and Culture (9 Mar 2022)
Dara Calleary: I welcome our guests. We have a big bank holiday weekend coming up here which coincides with the rugby match. - Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: All-Island Strategic Rail Review: Discussion (Resumed) (8 Mar 2022)
Dara Calleary: I thank all the speakers and welcome the delegations. It has been an interesting forum. All the rail reviews to date seem to have been based on demand. However, the Irish ways of measuring demand have been proven to be flawed by the cases mentioned here today. Mr. Logue mentioned the Derry line. He described the forecasts for the Belfast-Derry line as conservative, which was quite...

Demand is one thing but service level, consistency and quality of service, and frequency are also issues. The Bradley report has shown an economic demand. I know that has been forwarded to the committee. I commend Western Rail Corridor on commissioning it. I thank all the witnesses.

Where are we at with this recommendation? What plans does the Minister have to give...
