Ciara Conway: It was mentioned that the emergency department is often the only access point for sick older people. The point made by Senator van Turnhout is one the committee would share. I do not know how people will get better if they are to be left on trolleys. Are there other avenues of access for these people and what are the plans around that?

Although the numbers of people on trolleys has decreased today, it is not good enough.
