Fergus O'Dowd: At the end of those public transport journeys, they usually have to get a taxi anyway. They would have additional transport costs anyway by virtue of their disability, notwithstanding their use of public transport.

I am not saying that is the way to do it but that might be one way where there is support for a company, as there is support for the State companies. Fergus O'Dowd: There is a requirement in any event. If we examine a list of places where new taxi licences have not been applied for, we will know where the problem lies.
