I know it is of concern to the people in the area and I have been assured by the Minister of State, Deputy Kathleen Lynch, that the services will continue.

Ruairi Quinn: The service will continue. It will be delivered by the HSE. I do not have the details of that at present but those details will be revealed later today in the statement the Department will issue. I can assure the Deputy there will be no automatic increase because of a transfer of the agent which is delivering the service. The services are funded and will continue to be funded by the State.

Ruairi Quinn: The heads of the first Bill to which the Deputy refers were cleared and agreed in June 2011 and the Bill will be taken later this year. The heads of the mediation Bill were approved in February and it is hoped to proceed as soon as possible with that Bill.

Ruairi Quinn: I have not yet received the report from the working group on that and until we get that report, I am not in a position to answer the Deputy's question. However, I hope we can move on this as quickly as possible. As the Deputy is aware, the grant system has been updated and modernised in recent times.
