Jan O'Sullivan: This is related to the transfer of moneys to DIT for Grangegorman and to St. Patrick's. As the money in the schools capital budget was not fully spent this year, we were able to reallocate it. DIT Grangegorman has moved particularly speedily and we were able to transfer money to it from the rest of the capital allocation.

Jan O'Sullivan: Obviously, there will be clear criteria for the next programme. I am aware of some schools that fulfilled criteria and had planning permission for a build but did not get into the programme. They will be in a positive position for the next programme.

Jan O'Sullivan: A financial services unit is in place as part of the joint management body which carries out an audit of spending in the voluntary secondary school sector to ensure that money is spent properly. A similar unit is in place for schools in the ETB sector. It should be monitoring that.
