The Government has now given them an unmerciful belt in the solar plexus and has lost all authority to negotiate with them.

Enda Kenny: The Government will not be able to achieve public sector reform. It has done down the private sector and walked on those in receipt of social welfare. I propose rejecting this Order of Business to allow for the Social Welfare and Pensions (No. 2) Bill to be returned to the House next Tuesday so that every Member will be given the opportunity to express a view on it.
